Pauline’s Vegetable Detox
The purpose of this cleanse is to begin a gentle detoxification of your body. When I use this cleanse for a few days, my energy level improves, my brain is clearer and I sleep better. These are signs my body is getting healthier and enjoying a gentle detox which boosts immunity and allows the body to repair itself.
When doing this cleanse I suggesting slowing down, being alone or keeping quiet to yourself. Reflect. Meditate. Journey. Read. Go for a walk, or practice some deep breathing or yoga. Aid your body in the detox process.

Vegetable cleanse includes:
- Lots of non-carbonated water and water with fresh squeezed lemon or grapefruit. Herbal tea, Green drinks, Coffee are okay—use almond or oat milk.
- Any vegetable you desire is wonderful and add one sweet potato, red potato or Yukon Gold potato per day. These are low on the glycemic index.
- Vegetables can be raw, steamed, grilled, lightly sautéed or boiled. Use only olive oil. Fresh salad is also good with carrot, cucumber, tomato, avocado, peppers, olives, etc. Use fresh garlic, onion, salt, pepper or any other herbs you like.
Eat the vegetables for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Cut the potato into 3 pieces and eat with each vegetable meal. You shouldn’t feel hungry.
Do not eat: Bread. Dairy. Alcohol. Meat. Fish. Fruit juice. Protein drinks. Sugar/dessert. Chips. Soda. Carbonated drinks.
Additional items to add:
- Low sodium vegetable broth
- Flax crackers
- Apples are a good source of fiber.
- Grapefruit is a good blood cleanser.
- Raspberry, blueberry are good antioxidents.
- Take a natural laxative or use Aloe Vera juice to make sure you move your bowels.
Do this cleanse for 1 day. In a few weeks do it for 2 days. In a month do it for 3 days if possible.
